When trying to improve, it is always important to have a look at other ones works, and compare those to the ones one makes oneself. This is why I would like to point out some sites I stumbled upon. Actually, it’s just an online bookmark to myself, since nobody really cares, but anyways.
First one for today is Jake Garn, a US based fashion photographer. He has a very interesting style – from my point of view. But in his blog, he has a very interesting posting about the rule of the thirds making the effort to analyze his images using the Golden Mean which would be the correct way of setting up an image. Well, as he says in his own posting: Rules are made to be broken. I for myself would rather stick to that.
Another portfolio one should have a look at, is the one belonging to Andreas Strindsberg. He is a Swedish based photographer, who does all sorts of photography. From Landscapes and Macro shots to fashion and nudes – the links are not quite as differentiated as the are to be, but those are postings of his, which contain images I personally like allot. It’s always amazing to see how much details and what wonderful colors he gets out of a shot. Definitely worth a visit.
Last but not least, a site with different authors and all sorts of input: Beyond Megapixels. Especially when most people still think of hardware being the most important thing in photography, it is a good site for looking behind it all. Loads of information one might need to know – unless you don’t know it already.
Have fun surfing, and, if you know some more sites that might be interesting to me, please don’t hesitate to send me a comment. I will go looking. See you.

Jake Garn does have a unique style but I think that is what makes him so famous. He stands out.
Wonderful post.
