As soon as I realized the temperatures to drop significantly, I decided to bring my banana plants back in from my balcony. But while sitting next to them during the evening, I recognized two of them being taken over by lice.

Before I decided to try to get rid of them, I took my camera, as I thought the net they created would look kind of interesting. And it does. With the plain eye, I was not able to see all these droplets inside – at least I do believe these are droplets.

It was not easy catching them, as they are quite fast, and I did not have my tripod set up. Shot out of my hand with the MP-E 65 and a ring flash. One can even see the reflection of the ring flash in the droplets.

If someone could tell me, how to get rid of them the best way, don’t hesitate. I’ve already lost one banana to them…
