I recently received a note on ModelMayhem by Jaz asking for a shooting in Lausanne. After some notes and some mails going back and forth we decided to do a spontaneous shooting last weekend. Not knowing it would be one of the coldest weekends.
Cookie Monster I
Getting from Zurich to Lausanne took me far longer than expected. Snow made the traffic slow and as of an accident, even stopping. But I finally got there and while talking things through got offered an excellent soup. She is not only a talented Model, but apparently a good cook as well.

We tried some outfits – well, actually she tried them, I only stood there commenting a bit – and she came up with this idea of the Cookie Monster. Then we left for a junkyard finding it closed on Saturdays. But next to it we had some railroad tracks and a freight wagon standing there, which was more than good for me.

It was something around minus 15° Celsius, my hands hurt while fiddling around with the camera, the rest packed in warm clothes. But somehow she did not mind the cold. Many people don’t see modeling as a real profession. But they should have switched with Jaz…

After we where done, we went back to her home, finally warming up and getting ready for an indoor session. The laundry I would have done later that evening I already had canceled in my mind during my drive to Lausanne.

Which was a good thing to do. On my way back, normally a two hour trip, my water for the windscreen wiper must have been frozen. This, in combination with lots of salt on the highway made it an interesting drive home. Whenever I stopped at a gas station for cleaning my windscreen, there where these signs saying: “Windscreen wiper water sold out”.

But as I was not the only one having these kind of problems, it still amuses me.

And as far as I have gone through the results, even though I have only edited few images yet, I do not regret it a bit. It was fun, at least for me. Let’s see, if Jaz is happy with the results as well
