For the last few weeks I have been going through all our shots from South Africa again, since we did prepare a slide show on our road trip. Now, that the Soccer World Cup is about to start in a few weeks, one should keep in mind, that South Africa does not only consist of some Soccer arenas, but has a beautiful landscape apart from that.

Aside from the beautiful but very touristic Garden Route one place to see would be Graaff-Reinet. Anyone knowing WWF (World Wildlife Fund) should be aware of the fact, that the South African Billionaire Antony Edward Rupert who was the Founder of WWF was one of the Famous Citizens.

Next to founding WWF he initiatet the Valley of Desolation, a geological wonder of weathered dolerite pillars to be declared national monument with magnificent views over the Karoo plains.
