About
I am a computer scientist currently working for a large company in Zürich, Switzerland. Like Photography, computer science is a creative job most of the time – at least if you do it right – and a nice way to relax and get your thoughts away from work.
After years of only doing snapshots the way everybody was doing, I started getting into sports photography. A friend of mine owns a downhill course and I was able to do many shootings as well as some short movies there. This was the time I sold my old Minolta stuff since the expenses where rising with every weekend I did a shooting, and me being a student back then, could hardly afford the 15 rolls of film per day. I switched over to a Canon 300D, also known as Digital Rebel.
Besides sports photography, caused by my obsession with films, I attended the Berlinale plenty of times and always had my camera with me. Doing so I was able to learn and experiment allot.
By now I can call a Canon 1Ds Mark III, a Canon 5D, some lenses and some flashes (portable and studio) my own. But still I am convinced, it is not the equipment, but the person behind the camera taking the photos. More important than the size of the chip is the mind and fantasy.
The shots I have done so far, include everything from sports, architecture, landscape, seascape up to portrait, fashion and fine art. I case you are interested in working with me – as a designer, makeup artist or model – don’t hesitate to get into contact with me.
